APA is a format for writing, editing and citing sources when completing a research paper. It was created by the American Psychological Assocation and is primarily used in the sciences and social sciences. When using the APA format, you should consult the APA Handbook or your writing handbook, which can be found at the library if you do not have one already. Please see the APA libguide for more information and help.

For more assistance with writing in APA style you can ask your professor, an LSSC librarian or the Learning Center staff.
