How do I cite a source with no author in MLA style?

Answer

If your source has no author, just skip that element and cite by the title of the source. See the examples below.

MLA Style

Sager, Mike. “Dinosaur Cowboy.” Smithsonian, vol. 48, no. 4, July-Aug. 2017, pp. 52-63.

If this source did not have an author, you simply drop the author's name and start the citation with the article title. Here's what the source above looks like without an author.

“Dinosaur Cowboy.” Smithsonian, vol. 48, no. 4, July-Aug. 2017, pp. 52-63.
