Google Scholar is a tool by Google that searches specifically for peer-reviewed and other scholarly sources. In many cases, accessing the retrieved sources is limited to subscribers or require a large fee. Do not pay for any scholarly sources. Instead, contact a librarian for assistance.

Follow these steps to set up Google Scholar to search Lake-Sumter State College databases for articles.

1. Start by going to Google Scholar and clicking the three little lines in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. Then click Settings at the bottom of the menu.

3. On the Settings screen, click on Library Links on the left-hand menu.

4. In the search box, type Lake Sumter State College and click the search (magnifying glass) button. Once the Lake-Sumter State College Full Text @ LSSC option pops up, click the square, then click the Save button.

5. Now, when you search in Google Scholar articles that are available through LSSC databases will show up. When you click on the Full Text @ LSSC link, you will be led to the LSSC databases.

6. On this screen, you will see a Sign In link. Click on it and then select SSO (which stands for Single Sign On). This will allow you to log in using your Canvas login and password in order to access the article.
