What are the acceptable fonts for APA Style?

According to section 2.19 in the APA Handbook (p. 44), acceptable sans serif fonts in APA style are: 

  • Calibri, 11-point
  • Arial, 11-point
  • Lucida Sans Unicode, 10-point.

Acceptable serif fonts include: 

  • Times New Roman, 12-point
  • Georgia, 11-point
  • Computer Modern, 10-point.

Times New Roman 12-point font is a safe font because all teachers will accept it.
