How do I upload a document into Canvas from OneDrive?

Answer

When using OneDrive and trying to upload the file to Canvas, you need to first download the OneDrive file to your computer and then upload it to Canvas. Follow the directions below.

In OneDrive click on File (upper left corner), then click Save a Copy.

On the Save a Copy screen choose Browse. Do not click Save, because that will just put the file back in OneDrive.

On the Browse screen choose the location on your computer where you want to save the file. You can choose Desktop, Downloads, or Documents. You can also use a jump drive to save your files. Click Save.

When steps 1-3 are done, go into the Canvas assignment and start your submission.

When you attach the document, attach the one you saved to your computer.
