How do I alphabetize a title that begins with a number on a works cited or references page?

Answer

In both MLA (p. 132, MLA Handbook, 7th ed.) and the APA Style Blog, you should treat the number as if it were spelled out (e.g., alphabetize "5" as if it were "Five").
