What is the ACCUPLACER?

Answer

ACCUPLACER is an integrated system of computer-adaptive assessments designed to evaluate students’ skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Lake Sumter State College does not accept Accuplacer test scores for placement purposes.  LSSC accepts PERT, SAT, and ACT scores for placement into college readiness courses.

If you are a non-LSSC student who wants to take the Accuplacer exam for another institution, then you must have permission from that institution.  You are responsible for any fees or payment. You must also provide a voucher from another institution; it will need to be presented to the test proctor before the test date.

Registering for the Exam:

Register at the Leesburg campus Testing Center

Register at the South Lake campus Testing Center

ACCUPLACER testing fee is $20.  All testing fees must be paid online with credit or debit card only. Cash is not accepted.
