What is LSSC Academic Course Testing?

Answer

LSSC Academic Course Testing

LSSC Academic Course Testing encompasses testing for all academic courses and modalities, including class exams, finals, and make-up tests, as well as Honorlock bypasses.

Developmental math courses may also make their appointments here.

To request your test to be proctored by Testing Services, instructors and students must coordinate with one another to schedule an exam.

Instructor Responsibility

It is the instructor’s responsibility to ensure the proper completion and submission of the LSSC Academic Test Request form prior to any exam administration in the Testing Center. This form must be submitted for all academic and make-up exams in order to facilitate the testing process.

Instructors must submit a testing request HERE: https://lssc.libwizard.com/f/testing

Key Points for Instructors:

  • Test Request Submission: The LSSC Academic Test Request form must be submitted to Testing Services at least 24 hours prior to the exam date for make-ups and academic course tests.
  • Test Availability: Exams will only be administered once the Test Request form has been submitted, testing has the password, and the exam is open and available. If these things are not accomplished by the professor, Testing Services will ask the student to contact their professor and reschedule.
  • Test Parameters: The instructor must specify any special accommodations, materials allowed, and time limits in the Test Request form.

Student Responsibility

It is the student’s responsibility to schedule their exam appointment with Testing Services and inform their instructor about the scheduled appointment.

  • Students must coordinate with their instructor in order to take a course exam at the testing center.
  • Students must schedule an appointment with Testing Services within the testing window allowed by their instructor.

  • Students must schedule an appointment a minimum of 24 hours prior to their intended test day.

  • All students and examinees must arrive at the beginning of your appointment time.  For example, if you select a 9 am - 12 pm time slot, your appointment begins at 9 am, and you must arrive at that start time.

  • Late arrivals will not be permitted to test and must reschedule.

  • All testers must have a scheduled appointment.  If you do not have an appointment, you will not be permitted to test.  Walk-ins are not permitted.

  • Students must inform their professor of the date of their appointment.

  • If instructors have not submitted a Test Request Form, the test is unopened, and there is no password available for the exam, the student must reschedule and contact their instructor.

Day of Test

  • Students must present valid photo ID on day of testing.

  • Students must complete the test and return all test materials to proctor.

  • Students will not be allowed to enter testing lab if they arrive late.

  • All calculators will be checked and memory cleared if permitted on the exam.

  • Students should bring their cell phones for dual-factor authentication to log-in to Canvas. They will be asked to turn off the phone and place it in a secure location before beginning the exam.

Post Test

  • Students must contact instructor for test results.

  • Proctor scans completed test and sends it within 24 hours back to instructor via Canvas or LakeHawk Mail.

  • Testing staff will hold hard copy of tests in file until the end of semester after final grades are due.
