What is Credit by Exam?

Credit by Exam is a program that allows students to earn college credit for a course by passing a comprehensive examination in that subject area, demonstrating their proficiency and knowledge.

Submit Request

  • Students must contact the Testing Center in order to take a Credit by Exam at least two weeks prior to their intended test date.
  • The Testing Center will provide the student the form to request a Credit by Exam.
  • If approved, students will then need to register for an appointment date and time to take Credit by Exam.

Approved Requests

  • After students register and pay (link below), the Testing Center will provide the exam on the date and time selected.  
  • Credit by Exams are given with at least two weeks notice.  
  • Students will receive a study guide when registered (if available).
  • After the test, students must contact the instructor for results.

Credit by Exam testing fee is $25 per credit hour for a total of $75 for 3 credit hours.  All testing fees must be paid online with credit or debit card only. Cash is not accepted.
